Personal Mileage (Optional)Enter the number of miles you drove your car for this case. DEFINITIONSNo contact after RA: The owner submitted an RA but did not return calls to reach them for an initial discussion with the CM. Noncompliance: The team disengaged from the case (with director approval) because the owners were not complying with our guidelines, i.e., setting out competing traps, consistently ignoring our recommendations, engaging in dangerous or illegal activity, etc. Owner disengaged: The owner decided not to work with the Retrievers anymore and specifically asked us to stand down. Owner conceded: The owner expressly stated that they wished to stop the search. Misidentified dog: A dog presumed to be a stray was identified as a roaming neighborhood dog. No engagement after initial call: The CM had the initial consult call with the owner, but there was no follow-up on the owner's part. Cold case: There have been no sightings within a few weeks and the owner has stopped actively searching (i.e., placing signs). Kickstarter: The dog is found (alive or deceased) after the RA is submitted but before a first responder has called and/or a CM has been assigned. Gone and Back Again (GABA): The dog was found after the CM started working on the case (i.e., after having the initial phone call) but before the case thread was posted in the Den and/or on our public page. The CM writes a short summary of what happened, and it is published as a GABA. If the dog is found deceased, the summary is posted, but it is not called a GABA. Consult-Only: All cases outside our service area, which is 1 hour from the nearest CM. The intake team should note which cases are Consult-Only when they post the RA thread. If our team ends up being involved on the ground, this status should be changed to Hands-On. Hands-On: All cases in which we could put boots on the ground even if we end up not needing to. Δ
